how can i make mt guitar sound like slayer in raining blood?

have a Fender Squier Bullet (Strat) and i have a G-DEC Junior amp. My fave band is slayer and ive been trying to play the song Raining Blood. unfortunately, my guitar sounds nothing like it. Is there anyone who knows what settings i should put my amp on?

How can i make my amp and guitar sound like Green Day / Punk rock?

I am very new to all of this so I can use as much help as possible.

WHY does one of the tube fuses in my car audio system keep blowin?

Ok, so I had my system installed at best buy and i have two Alpine Type R 12s powered by two Alpine MRP-M500 amps, one for each sub. I have a Fierce Audio distribution block to hold my two tube fuses….the original fuses were the 5AG40A fuse….anyways, the fuse for my left amp blew…took it into best buy, the guy gave me another one of the same kind….it blew again about a week later….took it BACK in. The guy asked what kind of fuse it was, i told him the 40, he said i prolly needed an 80 but he didnt have any so he gave me another 40 and a 60…i put the 60 in…it blew. WHAT THE HELL. The one on the right is not blowing, and everytime the left one blows its fried on the bottom of it…could the bottom clamps holding the fuse not be tight enough er somethin?? the amp doesnt get hot at all so I dont think its defective….suggestions?

Ok, so im in the market and I want to buy a new amp and maybe an effects procesor, I bought a jay turser serpent Les Paul mainly for looks,because its basicly an epiphone,anyway so i want to get a better amp and im considering getting the following:

Zoom Gfx3
But i was told not to use the Zoom Gfx3 with a tube amp because the sound would be crap, so if you guys could help me out and tell me whats best? Im a singer in a band, and played acoustic for a long time but i dont know shit about electrics etc.
I like the Zoom type electronic so i dont have to buy a bunch of pedals,but i like the qualaty of the marshall amps

Are Peavey Vypyr amps as bad as they say?

I’m buying a Peavey Vypyr 75 Watt amp for practice(getting over drums)/gigging and I tried it out in stores and went through a lot of the amp and it seems weel worth it to me, but, why do people hate them so much? For $300 it’s the best you can get unless you go for soem million dollar tube amp. and PLEASE, do not tell me to get a tube amp. I really don’t want one(okay I lied, I do, but Im not saving EVERYTHING I HAVE, Im 14 for gods sake lol).

Does anyone know the best way to hook up a 4channel amp to run 5 speakers,, the 5th meaning a sub,little space

its going on a motorcycle and i have very little space ,, i have now a 4channel amp ( alpine) ,, 2 channels are powing the front and rear speakers and the other 2 channels are bridged to power a 8″ bazooka tube ,, i don’t have the space for a 5 channel amp,and because its going on a bike i don’t have the power to run 2 or more amps,,i have on the bike polk audio componets front and rear ,alpine 4channel amp,and a 8″bazooka base tube,,.

what’s best amp for mainstream rock?

looking for a tube amp (perferably under $1000)(and perferably combo) that would be good to gig with and record with. The sound I’m lookin for is almost like a 3 doors down type of sound (not heavy metal and not classic rock) but more of a modern rock sound, I’ve checked out quite a few amps and obviously i wanna try it b4 i buy it but i will mail order if an amp sticks out as exceptional, needs to be a good clean (not fender) and hopefully decent distortion but can add pedals if need be, which i would also take suggestions on pedals that give a nice mordern rock distorted sound. I’m building a water based Telescope defogging rig. What kind of pump would be best used for that?

The system consists of two loops, sharing a common reservoir. Fluid is pulled from reservoir and then pumped to a heater, in this case an automotive windshield washer preheater, and then back in the reservoir. Temperature is monitored by a thermometer. When needed, another pump pumps water from the resivoir through a tube that goes around the scope. I’m trying to find two pumps that take a small diameter tubing (such that is used for washer fluid), however I’m not quite sure what to get. Do you have any suggestions? What kind of amps/voltage would be drawn from the pump?

What type pick ups should i get for my strat?

ok so i mainly use a fender highway one usa strat for gigs and i generally use different amps for each of the bands im in, the amps are Vox Ac 30 reissue with neo dog speaker and the other one is a peaey duel 2×12 classic valve series, im looking for a fat raw sound, i do use heavy gauge strings and generally tune to Eflat or D, any ideas what i shud choose, iv tried texas specials, bare knucles, seymour duncan sssl-5 vintage staggered, are there any that im missin that giv a real raw blues sound?

VOX AC15 OR AC30 to recreate the Shadows 60′s sound?

I play mainly shadows tunes on my Fender 57 reissue stratocastor.I currently have a Vox AD50VT but i am thinking of changing it to a valve amp to get closer to the real sound(60′s).I am torn between the two Vox amps.I am using a boss CS3 compressor/sustainer +Gemini 111(shadows guitar effect) + Yamaha Magic Stomp(with authentic Shadows echo patches).Please can anyone help me?

I run it straight out from my computer’s soundcard into the direct in for the amp using a 1/8” male to male connector.This is NOT the guitar input, it is a separate AUX in port. I was wondering if this is better than getting a separate speaker system. (keep in mind that this puppy can get pretty loud if she wants to) I don’t have a whole lot of money to burn, since I’m a student, but I enjoy music, and am an audiophile. I was wondering if there would be a significant improvement that would be worth spending extra if I were to purchase a separate speaker system. To my ear, it sounds fine, But maybe I’m missing out on some of the sounds? perhaps someone bearing technical knowledge of acoustic guitar amplifiers would know better? lemme know if I’m getting quality sound, or if it’s just garbage!

(BTW the guitar amp ad says that it’s designed to plug in an ipod or some other mp3 device so you can play along with it!)

A blow out OR a short?

Hello! I have a pair of Pioneer upright loudspeakers. They were in good working condition UNTIL during a test of my vintage SA-7800II integraded amp, in searching for a defect in the left chanell(no sound thus right chanell running mono to both speakers) two point stems were inadvertantly touched with a screwdriver tip resulting into a pretty powerful spark. The Unit itself is still fine but both speakers play now with a muffled transistor-radio-like sound with nothing amplified as normal. hooked up and tested to other amps both channels play on both speakers but with the sound mentioned above. Opening up the speaker case (cabinet) I tried to see if it was a shorted wire by aplying a new wire hooked to a separate amp and applied to the terminals inside the cabinet(old wires are obviously still attatched) got the same signal to speakers with non amplified effects. SO is this a short in the speaker itself as in the voice coil? If so, how do I access the voice coil? or is this a blown driver? the driver I see here are two stem terminals on a small tab of circuit board (vocab/sp?) with positive and negatives going to a wire coil spool connected to the cabinet. the terminals supply three speaker wires to tweeter, midrange, and woofer. could it be that spool? no visible damage to any of these. I have yet to see if there was a melt or a gap in the speakers voil coil which is my reasoning for wanting to access same. HOWEVER. if I didnt turn the full wattage up via the volume knob, a melt down wouldnt occur anyhow. Im thinking its either the wires….or the electrode/coil connected to the internal cabinet wall. anyone advise? afterall, I’m still gettin non distorted sound, just distant and muffled low/ If turn up the volume high- I hear the power and sound its trying to push but its akin to turning up a transistor radio up to high and holding it under a pillow.

Why am I getting a weak output signal from my pedalboard/guitar?

I recently purchased a lot of pedals; ibanez tuner, crybaby wah, rogue vintage compressor, boss super overdrive, danelectro eq, mxr phase 90, danelectro tremelo, and a rogue analog delay. My pedals are set up in this order in my pedal chain which I think is correct from what I’ve read. When I first plug in and start playing, the signal is really good, but then it slowly starts to fade until when I switch to a clean channel there’s no sound at all and on overdrive it’s very weak. All of my pedals have new batteries in them and I think that running a large amount of pedals like that on batteries could be the problem. I wanted to ask the world before I went out and bought a power supply so I hope you respond! By the way, I’ve tried the pedals on two different amps so I know it’s not the amp.

Gallien Krueger vs Fender vs Warwick (bass amps)?

I have to pick between a GK Blackline 110, Warwick Blue Cab 60, and a Fender Rumble 60. All these have the same watts except for the GK which has 70. The bassist from Avenged Sevenfold uses GK amps. Mike Dirnt from Greenday uses the Fender Rumble series and so does the bassist from Anthrax and Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy. I have no clue who uses Warwick amps. I play all kinds of rock so im looking for something that can be used for metal, punk, alt rock, hard rock and good old fashioned rock rock. The Fender one has some lights at the bottom that flash as you play but no F/X. The other 2 have some F/X but no cool light show =(. Which would be most versatile? Best sounding? Most reliable? How does a Line 6 Spider III [75 watt] compare to a Epiphone Valve Junior Half Stack [5 watt]?

What I understand with guitar amps, is that tone is more important than volume. Right now though, I am confused about which amp I should get. My brother wants to buy me a Line 6 Spider III amp, the 75 watt one, but my friend tells me that I should buy a Epiphone Valve Junior Half Stack, which is a 5 watt. Price range is about the same, but I am really confused as to which I should buy.

I have a Japanese-made ESP Viper, with ESP LH200 pick-ups, if that helps a bit.
Nate – My playing preferences are metal/rock. My price range is… probably under $300. Mainly I want a decent amp, with a good tone, that will last me a long time, and will go great with my guitar.

What amp should I buy?

I want an amp that’s good for grunge/punk and that can give me a nice clean tone, and plunge into a heavy distortion. It needs to be relatively low priced, at least 50 watts, and not tubed. My pedals I use are Boss Ds-1 and 2, Electro Harmonix Big Muff, Poly Chorus, Small Clone, and a Boss Super Chorus. My main guitar is a Fender 1969 Mustang reissue, which has single coil pickups. Any suggestions on what I should go for?
Oh yea, the amps I’ve alredy owned/tried are: B-52 Ls-100 and At-212, Raven Rg-100, Vox VT-100 and VT-50, Fender Frontman 1×12, and a Peavey Vypyer 30. The Vox VT-50 is my amp now, which is alright, but I need something a little better for grunge
